Note: The color on the puppies is nail polish so we can tell them apart during the first few weeks. We keep track of their weight daily to make sure they are all eating and growing normally. When they're this young, it's hard to tell them apart.

The puppies spend most of their time sleeping. When they are awake they mostly want to nurse on mom. They’ve doubled in weight and are now about 3 lbs.
The girl (pink) has her eyes open today. The boys should open in the next few days. Their eyes usually first open at about 10-12 days old.

All three puppies have their eyes open and are beginning to hear sounds. They are gaining weight and are now about 4 lbs. While they are close to standing and walking, they are still mostly crawling around.

Today was a nice day for the puppies first excursion outside. They explored in the grass and searched for shade.

It was a bit cold and windy outside, so the puppies stayed in today. They really like playing in the tunnel and love the plush, green, snake toy. They kept taking it away from each other. One of them always seemed to have it with them.

The puppies are starting to hold their ears up. The boys have had one ear up for a couple days. This morning Pink had both of hers up, but by afternoon only one was up. It’s not unusual for the ears to go up and down when they are young.
The boys got to meet their new families. Pink met them too and gave her approval!

Today the puppies weren’t too interested in toys. They just wanted to run up and down the hill. They followed us around about half of the yard. They had tons of fun and got lots of fresh air and exercise.
